EpsilonThe Extensible Platform for Specification of Integrated Languages for Model Management (Epsilon) provides a common infrastructure, set of languages, and supporting for managing models. These languages can be reused to build new languages for new model management tasks. Epsilon currently provides languages and tools, fully integrated into Eclipse, for: model-to-model transformation, model-to-text transformation, model composition, model comparison, inter-model consistency checking, model refinement and refactoring, and a general-purpose model navigation, query and modification language. The Epsilon project is part of Eclipse.org and is a very active component in Eclipse GMT. The Epsilon community is very active, both within and outside of MODELPLEX. Developers and engineers around the world (particularly in Europe and North America) are using it for a variety of model management tasks, including model version control, model testing, failure analysis, simulation, safety and security argumentation, and co-evolution of models and metamodels. Epsilon has been used to implement contributions to the OMG Software Assurance Special Interest Group, and it is being used in the UK Software Systems Engineering Initiative (http://ssei.org.uk/) and the UK’s national Large-Scale Complex IT Systems initiative (http://www.lscits.org/). Epsilon was initially supported by the MODELWARE project, and is now being used in MODELPLEX for inter-model consistency checking (Task 4.3) by Telefonica, Western Geco, TUD, SAP, YORK. Epsilon website: http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/epsilon Epsilon newsgroup: news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.epsilon ATLATL (ATLAS Transformation Language) is a model-to-model transformation language and toolkit fully integrated into Eclipse. The ATL project, from which the corresponding resources are available, is an Eclipse.org project that is part of the Modeling-M2M project. The ATL community is very active and is currently composed of many developers and/or contributors. ATL has been initially supported by the MODELWARE project and is now being used as a model transformation solution (Task 3.1.d) by several partners from MODELPLEX in their MDE processes (such as SAP, Thales, Telefonica, TUD, MIA-Software, INRIA). ATL website: http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/atl/ ATL newsgroup: news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.modeling.m2m(prefix the subject of your posts with the [ATL] tag) AMWAMW (ATLAS Model Weaver) is an Eclipse fully integrated generic and extensible tool for establishing links between models and their elements (e.g. in model comparison, model matching, model annotation, traceability, etc). The AMW project, from which the corresponding resources are available, is an Eclipse.org project that is part of the Modeling-GMT project. The AMW community is quite active and is currently composed of several developers and/or contributors. Within MODELPLEX, AMW is currently being used for dealing with traceability in model transformation (Task 3.2) and model annotation (SAP and INRIA). AMW website: http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/amw/ AMW newsgroup: news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.amw AM3AM3 (ATLAS MegaModel Management) is an Eclipse fully integrated generic and extensible tool providing support for Global Model Management, i.e. for dealing with global resource management in MDE processes. The AM3 project, from which the corresponding resources are available, is an Eclipse.org project that is part of the Modeling-GMT project. Within MODELPLEX, a completely new prototype has been developed (Task 2.1) and experiments with it have been started on some WP1 material and processes (SAP and INRIA). Thus, the AM3 community is currently quite reduced but it is aimed at being extended within the context of the project both inside and outside the MODELPLEX consortium. AM3 website: http://www.eclipse.org/gmt/am3/ AM3 newsgroup: news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.am3 OMCWOMCW (Open Model CourseWare) is an Eclipse fully integrated project which aims at providing a set of open-source teaching and learning artifacts to the MDE community. The OMCW project, from which the corresponding resources are available, is an Eclipse.org project that is part of the Modeling-GMT project. Within MODELPLEX, this new project has been opened and initialized with some content from the MODELWARE project. The objective of Task 6.2.3-“Training” is to contribute to this project by providing a set of courses related to the subjects and techniques covered within MODELPLEX .Thus, the OMCW community is currently quite reduced but it is aimed at being extended within the context of the project both inside and outside the MODELPLEX consortium.
